Evening Photo Shoot Wansford Station

A great night was had at the evening photo shoot at Wansford Station organised by Timeline Events

Nene Valley Railway has its headquarters at Wansford Station. There is a new station building but from a historic and photographic point of view the Old Wansford Station building is a gem. Built in 1844/5 for the opening of the line. it sits on platform three and can be seen on the right of the picture.

The train is Morayshire 62712 a London and North Eastern D49 class steam locomotive designed by Nigel Gresley.

Evening photo shoots are always enjoyable as it gives the opportunity to look at a scene with a different quality of light and at the same time add a touch of mystery to the image.

With the help of enthusiasts you can capture a timeless image of the past. A lot of skill is involved as they have to stand motionless for long camera exposures of 6 seconds or more.

Here a few more images taken on the evening.
